Restaurant History
The restaurant has been in business under different names for over 30 years. The first owner, Dave Phippin, owned the Restaurant The Wharf for almost 27 years. In 1989 Dave Phippin decided to add new form of business. On the side of the building he opened Liquor Store and Seafood Market Called The Wharf Carry Out. In 2001 The Wharf Restaurant has been taken over by Higgins Family. The new owner decided to add something new to his business. That's the way The Wharf Prime Rib and Seafood buffet was created. After 4 years Mr Higgins decided to changed the concept of his restaurant, he replaced buffet with the big bar, changed menu and the name of restaurant which is Big tuna Grill. Inside the Big Tuna Grill Restaurant you can see a lot of artifacts like: ship equipment, old fashioned fishing equipment and much more. The restaurant is like a little sea museum. New Menu offers meals like Chesapeake Bay Rockfish or Cedar Plank Tuna. In Big Tuna Grill Bar you can order "Tunarita" drink which is made of secret ingredients. Big Tuna Grill is a part of Higgins Family Restaurant business which includes two Ocean City Crab Houses (located on 31 st and 132nd st).

In Seafood Market you can find: Fresh fish (tuna, rockfish, salmon and much more), Fresh Jumbo Lump Crab Meat, Clams, Oysters, Softshell Crabs, Fresh or Frozen Shrimp size U-15, 21-25, 31-46, Mussels, Lobster Tails 4oz, 8oz, 14oz, 18oz. You can also order food to go (full restaurant menu available) or famous Steamed&Spiced Shrimp.
