Fager’s Island welcomes a familiar musical lineup this week. Seacrets offers a new, unconventional event this week: a film festival. The festival happens on Thursday at 1 p.m. and covers all things Assateague Island. Looking for a little artsy fun to be part of your week? Attend the “Autumn Home and Condo Show” at the OC Convention Center that runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The convention center transforms to a home renovation idea breeding ground with demonstrations, displays, and products. If the home show wasn’t enough, the OC Convention Center also hosts an arts and craft fair during the home and condo show. The times for the show are: Friday from noon to 6, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6, and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is a small admission fee. Let the redecorating commence!
You went to the car show last week (and maybe even the one in Berlin), but Ocean City still presents the chance to peruse fancy cars. At 10100 Coastal Highway and the Inlet parking lot, Corvette owners meet for a parade, rallies, and demonstrations. Catch the cars on Friday at 10100 Coastal Highway from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday, the cars will be out for show at the Inlet from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Observing the cars is free. Berlin, once again, is part of the entertainment scene. The pint-sized town that’s big on charm hosts their second Oktoberfest on Saturday. Main Street transforms to a little Germany, complete with German food, beer, polka bands, and more! There is no admission fee. Who’s up for a last hurrah of summer? The beaches at Ocean City have been good to use for many months, but we can still celebrate the beaches in October! There is a family bonfire planned on the beach at 130th Street from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday. Aside from the bonfire, there will be storytelling, music, and s’mores provided.
