Islander motel: "Nothing against the people that run the motel..."

The people that run the motel are really nice however the room was disappointing. The AC unit was really loud when we turned it up. The fire alarm went off at three am but what really got to me is that the people next door stayed there two nights for the same price of one night we paid for. The location is great but I unfortunately can't recommend my friends to stay there.

Islander motel: "Fun in OC"

Everything went pretty well with our stay. Its located along Coastal highway, right across the street from Phillips Crabhouse and the boardwalk. Also a nice bar a block away to visit without having to worry about driving or riding the bus. Room was cleaned when requested and overall in good condition. It was good for a young couple who were only in it at night and out during the day. Pool was nice, only 4 - 4 1/2ft deep, but it was relaxing to cool off in and also had a patio/lounge chairs around to enjoy some drinks. Overall, a great trip for us. I may reconsider if I was to bring a family though as it was more younger people/couples at the hotel and they may see some things you wouldn't want children exposed too.

The room was good and a great value. If you looking for a nice place to stay for a weekend and you dont want to drop a ton of money stay here

Islander motel: "wish they weren't stuck in the 70's"

I haven't seen that much wood paneling in a room since the wonder years. Plus the one knob on the stove was broken, and house keeping replaced the towels but didn't make the bed. At least it was cheap and the location to the beach, boardwalk, and party bloc was perfect.

Islander motel: "We will never stay there again!"

The day we checked in the fridge, microwave, floor, bathroom and table were dirty. The toilet seat was broken. The shower was good and hot. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was good. The pool was nice and refreshing. We could walk to the boardwalk and get the tram. Some of the other guests had the same opinion aas we did. On our next vacation we will spend the extra money and stay at a cleaner, nice place worth the money.

well the rooms smelled awlful, would not walk on carpet so dirty, mildew on shower liner, housekeeper left enough towels for two and four adults paid to stay, pool water was gross, would never stay there again not even for FREE

I can't rave or rant about this one. The AC and hot water worked fine, which is most important, and the room seemed clean overall. There was a slight smell when first entering but nothing you couldn't ignore after a few minutes in the room. Overall it was a good stay and the people there were very friendly. Good room for the price.

Old carpet, terrible smell, stained bath tub, dirty matress, no tv remote and no telephone in room. The only thing this horror event was missing is Anthony Perkins. No wonder they have a sign stating "NO REFUNDS AFTER CHEK IN"

Owner's were very friendlyand helpful, service to our room when we hung our door maid sign out, very convienient to beach and dinners, parking not so great, had a great time in general at the beach. Pier was good for fishing and parking of your boat.
