Howard Johnson Oceanfront Inn: "Bad weather"
Reason for Staying:Business travel
Date Staying:May 12 to May 13
The weather was bad so we did not explore the hotel or surrounding area. We were billed an extra day that we were not there, still trying to get that taken care off.

Howard Johnson Oceanfront Inn: "Great time"
Reason for Staying:Senior week
Date Staying:Jun 09 to Jun 11
The rooms had issues with air conditioners not working which was a major problem being the weather was over 90 degrees each day. We were lucky ours was working fine but the refridgerator did not work properly so that was the only downfall in our room. Other than that it was great value for a top floor ocean front room.

The view of the ocean was so great. The weather was so perfect. We went and played miniture golf at Maui Golf and had a blast there. Got lost of sun and a lot of relaxation. The pool was nice and blue.

Howard Johnson Oceanfront Inn: "Room"
Reason for Staying:Family Vacation
Date Staying:May 16 to May 17
IT was great except for the room needed to be updated more. We slept with no heat and froze to death at night. That wouldn\'t have been so bad but we had our 2 children with us. One is only a month old and the other is 6 yrs. old. So I probably will never stay there again due to that reason. NO HEAT.

Howard Johnson Oceanfront Inn: "Not a good value/Too many problems"
Reason for Staying:Romantic/couples vacation
Date Staying:Sep 28 to Sep 29
Although the location of the room was fine, the motel was inadequate for the amount of money that was paid off season. The tubs were tiny with a shower curtain that was mounted 4 inches from the shower head. It was a physical impossibility to shower without the curtain wrapping up on you and sticking to you, which could be very unsanitary. The air conditioner was very ineffective to control the heat during the morning and main part of the afternoon. It did not operate properly and was located above the entrance door to the hallway, thus not allowing the cold to reach the main part of the room adequately. The screen door on the sliding glass door needed to be repaired and left insects into the room. When you spend a high rate for off season rooms, you expect there to be no problems during your stay. I must say, that after complaining about the problems, money was taken off our bill for our troubles.

hotel was nice except the lobby needs to be bigger and have a better bathroom. Its a utility closet that was not clean. Does not make a good first impression when checking in to the hotel.

Howard Johnson Oceanfront Inn: "Ocean City 16 years later"
Reason for Staying:Luxury vacation
Date Staying:Jun 24 to Jun 27
It has been 16 years since our last stay at Ocean City. I have to say the boardwalk hotels still are not as nice as they should be. They need to be knocked down and rebuilt, there just to old. They bayside of Ocean City has really built up and it is impressive. We really like the boardwalk if the hotel\'s were nicer. I have to say if we go any time soon we will probably stay on the bayside, there are tons of condos. We did have a good time and Philips By the Sea is still my favorite dining experience. The hotel cost is outragous for the hotel you get. I spoke to another lady in the same hotel, if she wasn\'t lying, she booked the same place for $60.00 less than I paid. This is just not fair. She agreed the Bayside is nicer for the money.
