Old-Fashioned Charm By The Sea. Since our beginning in 1951, our guests have enjoyed our desirable oceanfront location directly on the Boardwalk at 15th Street. The wicker furnished lobby, enhanced with plate glass windows along the entire front of the hotel, offer a beautiful, panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and wide, sandy beach. Step out of our comfortable lobby onto our old-fashioned, spacious front porch - the perfect place to relax in one of our rocking chairs while you watch families stroll along the Boardwalk, play in the sand and splash in the surf. All of this is just a hint at the elegance we have carried through the years at Harrison Hall. You'll always feel welcome and special at Harrison Hall Hotel... It's our tradition.

If you want to have a quiet getaway, then Harrison Hall is good. We were disappointed in the cleaniness of the room - the floors were skimmed with a vacuum cleaner. The skirts on the bed were torn and too long - Almost tripped several times. The hotel was skimpy with their towels, which were clean but very thin and small. If you just want a place to sleep over and especially for a short stay, then the price is right at Harrison Hall. Their guest appreciation days are also nice. Radically reduced rates.

The beds actually felt dirty and when we turned on the AC, ants came pouring out. Also not sure if this was the use, but there was a heat light pointed at the shower, so not sure what that was for. Anyways we left and they did refund, but it just caused a pain. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Harrison Hall Hotel: "no space available"
Reason for Staying: Family Vacation

Although the room was clean and it did have two double beds, it was way too small for 4 people to stay in. I have two teenage boys so I need a place to change, which would be the bathroom normally. This bathroom was so small it had no place to put anything down- I also hit my head on the sink when I was trying to change- and I am a small woman. It would be nice if there was a towel bar or a couple of clothing hooks. Our bed was fine but the boys bed sagged in the middle and was uncomfortable. I've learned my lesson-as old hotels go it was fine and you get what you pay for- but I won't be staying there again. AND THE PARKING COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.

Hotel was convenient to everything, didnt need to take the car out at all. Porch was a friendly meeting place not to mention a relaxing spot to spend your time. Hotel is old but not a problem, clean and quiet, prefer the older layout.

Harrison Hall Hotel: "DISGUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Reason for Staying: Family Vacation

When they said small room I didn't think they meant closet. The room was filthy. I cleaned it myself before bringing my things in. There was blood on the bathroom door, hair on the commode and sink, I just don't know how to discribe how gross it was. Example there was still dust on the floor from when sockets were put in or fixed, the medicine cabinet was not useable becaue they put the soap dispenser to close the door wouldn't open, the frig opened the wrong way and the end table blocked it, on and on......... It took forever to get towels and through out our stay we had to keep asking. One time they brought the towels up set them on the floor outside the door. We could not use them after they were sat on the floor in a hall way where every one walks. We tried to make the best of it, it was the first time away without kids in 20 years. We didn't want to ruin it more by making a fuss, we wanted to spend the time enjoying ourselves.

Check-in was speedy-room was ready by noon, even though official check-in was 3:00. Keys for the room did not work. Had to go back to the desk 3 times before maintenance finally came and took care of it. Bathroom was way too small-no hooks on the door to hang clothes-no shelves to lay toiletries on. Beds were comfortable but pillows needed to be replaced. The pool was wonderful-staff at the pool bar were very nice. Front desk staff should monitor lobby behavior better. My friend & I wanted to sit & have a cup of coffee but a family with several kids took over the whole lobby for their breakfast. They were loud & rude. We were forced to leave & seek relaxation elsewhere. The amount of money The Harrison Group is making on their hotels, they could afford to update the rooms & give the customer a little more of the conveniences of home. Might stay again in the off-season. In-season rates are way too high for the quality of the rooms.

The Harrison Hall Hotel is not a good place to stay. It is small and dirty. We ended up leaving and finding a new place to stay. I will never even consider staying there again.

When we 1st got there my initial impression with the front desk wasnt a good one because one of the front desk clerk was making fun of the way a family of about 15 Vietnamese people were speaking. After checking in and getting to our room as soon as we opened the door the room smelled like urine, the linens were very old and outdated, when I went to plug my phone charger in there was dust all behind the bed. Our air conditioner didnt work but the maintenance man D was nice enough to bring us one in less than 5 minutes and he kept apologizing for the inconvenience. The best part of this hotel was the access to the beach. After swimming in the ocean and wanting to take a shower before going out for the night I was extremely disappointed with the shower head being broken the water basically trickled down from one part of the shower head so I def didnt feel any cleaner getting out, not only that but the water kept going from very hot to very cold. The elevator would not stop on the 4th floor where we stayed so it would take us up 5 and then back down to 3 but never stopped at 4 even one of the housekeepers said it was strange. After going out for a night on the town the overnight clerk gave us information on where to get food delivered from and when she was unable to find the number instead of calling up to our room with the information she was kind enough to bring it up to us. So the best part of staying at that hotel was the D the maintenance man and the overnight clerk.

Reason for Staying: Romantic/couples vacation

Front desk very helpful. The pool was the highlight. Very large, very clean & well maintained. It also had a bar next to it with refreshing drinks both alcoholic & non alcoholic. The front porch with large rocking chairs overlooking the boardwalk/ocean was a very nice touch. The price was reasonable and it was the only place we could find that would allow 1 night stays. Both of us would recommend it as a nice place for a romantic weekend!
