Cabana motel: "Cheap for a reason"

Let me be honest: the hotel was very cheap, not very clean, EVERY employee that I came in contact with spoke broken english, the concierge was unable to understand what I was trying to say, and there was no maid service during the stay, we even had to get our own towels.

Stayed in July 2008, motel is old/dated. Bathroom sink clogged and drained very slowly with every use, shower water pressure weak/poor, beds/mattress too hard and uncomfortable, mold in tiled bathroom, ants in room, pool very small. Would not recommend nor stay here again.

Hotel staff was very courteous. Environment was friendly and fairly quiet. Only planned to be in room to sleep and take showers. Pool was refreshing after a day at the beach!

The Hotel was the worst that i have ever stayed in. THe windows didn't open it had a terrible smell to the rooo. When you pulled the drawers out for clothes they fell out and didn't have a back to them. we found dirt clothes and food shoved in between the drawers. Dead bugs were laying on the showe floor, the sheets were all stained up and the carpet was very dirt and dust balls were laying everywhere. The room had no phone in the rooom. THe door didn't shut right so who knew if it was safe for sleeping. The pool was very dirty. it's a shame that you can't see your room before you check in, we checked in at 730pm and checked out at 1100pm the same night. The only reason that we stayed that long was because we were on the boardwalk eating dinner. I asked if i could have a nights deposit back because of the condition and they wouldn't even try to work with me. The customer service at this hotel was awful. i will let everyone know that this is probably one of the worst hotels in Ocean City. i think i should actually report this hotel to the better business beaurea and hopefully then they would send me some of my money back.

Our room had ants in it, when I told the front desk, they said they'd tell the manager. Noone ever responded, I had to buy a can of raid and tend to it myself! The shower head trickled like a leaky fawcet and I was afraid to lay in the dingy bathtub! The motel and rooms looked like a pit stop for prostitutes!

It was terrible.... We had a MAJOR ant problem. ey sent a gentleman to the room who did not understand English. He sprayed in one spot and that was it. All week long we asked for bath-size towels. we got ONE all week. The towelsthey did give you were small, smelled like bleach, and were worse than sand paper. The carpet was "a damp slimey" feel, you had to wear shoes at all times. The banister was very shaken, as were a few steps. The air conditioner did not work well either. We asked them to check it, and again, the non english speaking man said "it ok" but.... it wasn't. Of course, the money that we spent we feel, was way too much for what we got. I would NOT recommend this place to friends who are looking to come to OC.

The hotel was pretty much awful, I have stayed at cheap hotels in ocean city before and this was by far the worst. My door to the bathroom would lock automatically when closed and could only be opened by the inside. I went to the office and they called a manager who told me to just jiggle the handle. Luckily we had a screwdriver int he car and were able to completely take the handle off (which was on wrong). I dont know if there is a maid service but they completely skipped our room, no clean towels, nothing. I will definately not be staying at the hotel again
