Fishing and Boating
Ocean City began as a location for fishing and since the inlet was cut in the storm of 1933, Ocean City’s commercial and recreational fleets exploded. There is kayaking and paddle-boarding in addition to the more traditional fishing on charter and head boats. You can rent boats of all sizes for ocean going and for river meandering. Worcester County is laced with public boat ramps where you can launch your own trailerable boat or you can bring your larger fishing boat and dock in one of the many marinas catering to seasonal fishermen. Whatever you like to do on the water, Ocean City and Worcester County can accommodate you!
