Fireworks on the beach at North Division Street is still open! This free event that’s open to the public is part of the summer of thanks from Ocean City to its faithful friends. Another beach and family-friendly event also occurs this week, and it’s all thanks to the Carousel Hotel. On Wednesdays, the hotel shows movies on the beach that are free of charge. This Wednesday, watch Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides at 8:30 p.m. If you’re not familiar with the Carousel, head to the beach at 118th Street to watch these free movies.
Here’s something that is very Ocean City, and therefore, completely deserving of your time: Ocean City’s Shark Tournament! The largest shark tourney in OC takes off on June 13 and goes through June 17. Bring kids and future marine biologists and watch the hooking and wrestling! Simply watching the event i

Just because Ocean City, Maryland is a great spot for sunning, dining, and staying in hotels doesn’t mean it can’t showcase works of art. Arts on the Dock is scheduled for June 14 through August, where local artists showcase their work on the Ocean City Fishing Center Marina on Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. Watch the sun fizzle out for the day and catch up on the latest art.
Arts Alive is this Saturday and Sunday at 125th Street! What is this event, you ask? Essentially, it celebrates 12 years worth of bringing fine art to Ocean City. There will be over 100 artists there, live music, free art activities for kids, and items to purchase. For both days, the show is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 410-250-0125 to learn more.
