Bike Fest in Ocean City
September 13, 2012
The Ocean City Bike Festival is something that every bike enthusiast will want to attend. From the stellar bike shows to the seaside dining, the OC Bike Fest will be one of the best attractions you’ve ever visited. It coincides with the Delmarva Bike Rally nearby, which draws thousands of spectators and participants. Even if you’re not crazy about bikes, Bike Week might be the jump start that gets you involved in an amazing new hobby.
Ocean City events are big and amazing. The Bike Festival in Ocean City is fueled by adrenaline, as is evidenced in the Adrenaline Crew Motorcycle Stunt Show. The Adrenaline Crew are pure, raw stuntmen doing their best to bring out a killer show for the spectators. You may want to bring your camera with you and get this on film! The Original Ball of Steel is a stunt team comprised of two of the youngest stuntmen in the world, Kyle and Cody Ives. Combined with the power of Harley Davidson, these two boys put on an amazing show. They have some of the most impressive motocross and freestyling shows in the country, something that they no doubt owe to years of traveling around the world and learning the tricks of the trade. The Loaded Gun Customs are known for their high-quality bike gear in Ocean City and beyond. They have been features on the Discovery Channel. They’re one of the best bike shops around. To learn more about the Loaded Guns Customs, visit http://www.ocbikefest.com/p_attractions.php Another personalized and well known bike shop is the BMS Choppers. They provide some of the finest bikes and bike parts on the coastline, as well. They’ve been custom designing parts since the 1990s. Circus Una is another great attraction of the Ocean City Bike Festival that you don’t want to miss out on. This show is completely female. They do all of their own stunts, from standing upside down on a motorcycle seat to riding a bike across a thin wire suspended high in the air. It’s a hot, one-of-a-kind show. It’s even more enjoyable to view the spectacle at night. The motorcycles are lit with LEDs. To find out more about Circus Una, check out http://www.ocbikefest.com/p_attractions.php
The festival will be supplemented not just by bikes, but also by music. Check out some of these bands that will be playing the festival: Blue Oyster Cult, The Guess Who, Rare Earth, Bike Mike “100% Biker Blues” Griffin, Second Helping Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute, Red White and Crue – Motley Crue Tribute, Poison’d – Poison Tribute, Cherry People, and The Cheaters. There will also be a Mikey Teutal original painting auction held during the length of the festival. His brilliant seaside colors and artful interpretations of the ocean will be sold off to one lucky consumer. Could it be you? Check out http://www.ocbikefest.com/p_auction.php to see!
Ocean City hotels are located all over the seaside area. From the small independent boutique motels to the chain hotels, there are plenty to choose from. However, remember to attain your reservations well ahead of time during the Bike Festival. This is a crowded time and it’s a good idea to have your room booked. Deciding what to do in Ocean City during the festival is easy. Just choose from the activities listed here: http://www.ocbikefest.com/p_attractions.php Ocean City restaurants are also many and varied. Choose from the Sahara Café, Shark on the Harbor, Pino’s Pizza, King Kone, Fractured Prune, Liquid Assets and Sunset Grille.
