    Winterfest Question

    Good Morning All,

I just checked the OC Chamber of Commerce website, but couldn't find the answer.

Does anybody know if Winterfest is a "rain or shine" event?

We're going down this weekend for Winterfest, and right now, the forecast for Saturday is a little iffy. Depending on what time we arrive, we might be able to catch Winterfest on Friday night.

    Thank you

It is rain or shine, unless it's an extreme storm. You'll love it.

Thank you. This will be our fourth year going. And I've heard they made some changes to the display this year.

We're also looking forward to the Winter Festival at the south end of the Boardwalk. We've never done that. In fact, we're considering doing Winterfest on Friday night, just so we can enjoy the Festival at the Inlet a little longer.

They updated the displays this year and a few other changes, so it should be even better. If you have time, take a ride over to Berlin. too It's beautiful during the holidays.

Would you recommend Berlin during the day, or at night? And will they be all decked out by this weekend?

Yes! This year there's more lights, a new 50-ft. Christmas tree and apparently a "new look" inside the pavilion.

The tree decorating takes place this weekend, but the big light up night isn't until the weekend following Thanksgiving. But you'll enjoy an afternoon there. Lots of shops to explore, stop for a bite at the Atlantic Hotel, there's a doughnut shop on Main St, even a glass blowing studio where you can shop , or make an appointment and blow your own glass ornament for your tree. Check out Jeffrey Auxer Studio. They normally have horse drawn carriage rides on the weekend as well. I love exploring Berlin.

Thanks, we may give it a shot if time allows. This will likely be our last OC trip until the summer, and we only have one full day, so we might not venture too far from OC.
