Family Relocating for Work---Looking for a Long Term Rental

My husband just took a job with a property management company in Ocean City. We are looking for a long term rental for our kids and us to move into. We have not had any luck with craigslist (mostly just scammers) or the local newspapers and realtors haven't been much help at all except wanting money for every fee you can think of. If anyone knows of anything or has anything please let us know! His job starts on January 15th.

Ocean City will be hard to find. Expand your search to Ocean Pines, Salisbury, Berlin, Snow Hill, even Selbyville Delaware and Pokomoke. You'll have a longer drive to work, but you might have better luck and find something less expensive.

We have expanded the search to all areas going so far as Willards. Any further than that and my on call status at work will be a nightmare. We have checked ocean view, bethany beach, Selbyville. There just isn't much out there and again the lack of people getting back to us.

I would think your husband's new employer would be able to help. I'd be worried if not.

They have offered to extend his start date. That is about all we got.

Call the Chamber of Commerce. I really think that your husband's employer should be able to assist you a bit more. I would be concerned if he/she can't, surely he knows the area well enough to know that resort areas are notoriously hard to find reasonably priced fulltime rentals in.

Thank you all! But I think my husband is going to opt out of the job. I do not think a family of 5 can afford to live around those parts.
