I hate to see ANY business fail but montegoman was absolutely correct. Nick's had it all over JR's but I hope another Rib joint comes to town. Gotta keep Nick's on their toes. Besides Nick's, the only good ribs I have had in OC....believe it or not is at Seacrets. Of course stopping at Emmings on Rt 113 on my into town doesn't count.

Coach's Corner on 73rd St. Ocean Side is open year round. Best breakfast by far! Large portions and great prices. I believe they are open 6am - 2pm 7 days a week.

The Freddies Group (Dead Freddie, Lazy Lizard) is opening a new concept in the old Hooters. It will be called the Parched Pelican.

Smokers Pit in West OC has decent ribs. The owners of Dead Freddies must have some coin. In any event, I think their food is terrible especially for the prices they charge.

It's not open yet, but it will be OC 360. It is supposed to open in early June. Casual dining, American fare. They'll be open for breakfasts and dinners and happy hour till 10 p.m.
