I would think it would mix well with the "june bug" crowd as it is more kids down in oc at that time as oppose to late august which seems to be more of a "family"/older adult time of year for oc. I think it would be more crowded at that time of year for oc also, so depending on how you look at it, that could be good or bad.
common sense is not so common
June makes so much more sense than August for the Dew Tour. I was scratching my head last year when they moved it from July to August.
My sense is that the date gets driven more by the Dew Tour than OC. I suspect OC works with them to deconflict with other major events, but the general date range is set by the Dew Tour. The whole tour was later this year to be after the Olympics, and it seems the Deww Tour likes to open in OC.
