Sakura Japanese Steak and Seafood was founded in 1988 by our president, Marc Ha.
He opened the first restaurant in a small shopping center located on Courthouse Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This tiny little Sakura opened with 7 Tappan tables and served 5 lunches and 7 dinners. Marc worked as a manager at the restaurant as well as a chef.
He was also working as a computer programmer at the Naval Base in Dahlgren Virginia. His hard work and persistence began to pay off. He began to see many of the same faces over and over, receiving some good reviews, and making friends to keep.
The basic foundation of our company remains viable, even in the face of tremendous
growth: an unyielding commitment to GREAT FOOD, SERVICE, and ATTITUDE!
The Sakura's success story continues today!
We have now 13 different locations in Maryland and Virginia area and more locations will be opening in 2004. Our executive team is committed to providing you with a great place to work and an experience that is challenging, fun and rewarding!
