Greetings All

It's been a while since I've posted, but since this is the first Holiday Season since I was 18 that I don't have to work weekends, I'm planning a trip to OC in December.

Does anybody have any tips for the Winterfest of Lights or any other Yuletide related OC stuff?

Thank you

Dress warm. There is hot chocolate and such on sale at the park. There is also a "tunnel" of lights in the inlet parking lot. Lots of restaurants have "specials" during the winterfest celebration

How does Winterfest work? Do you just drive up and down and look at all of the lights? Are there better areas to go to see things, what places are open and kid friendly (3 & 7 year olds)? I have never been and am planning to come this year I will also have my 2 Ch. Labs are there any dog friendly areas, the boardwalk? In Richmond there is a Tacky Light Tour and we go to all of the houses that have "the best" light shows, some are amazing. I am just looking to bring the Family to OC to enjoy some time there in the winter so we can start a tradition and get the family excited about it. Any Ideas would be great. PETeacher

It is just a displayof lights up one 100 something street. you ride the tram thru it...and they have some stands that sell stuff and santa, and hot chocalate. Doesnt take long..but my grandkids enjoy it...fun to see their eyes light up. Then of course they get to buy a little something at the store.
