Can't trust demoflush numbers, but I guess around ~350,000 people in town. Easily. Can't remember a 4th being so crowded, glad the weather was nice and I hope all had a good time.

Not enough to make up for the slow start but still a good sign. I wonder if the momentum will continue throughout the summer or if it's just big weekends that will get busy.

I haven't sat in RT 50 traffic like I did on Saturday in over 20 years. It was mad packed this weekend.

Ha, they're saying 322K people and 4K less then last year. I thought it was more, seemed like more, and reinforces my theory that demoflush is inaccurate.

As I said before, demoflush can be very skewed depending on how many people eat at Paul Revere & Jonah and the Whale.  A packed house at these restaurants can result in extra flushes beyond the norm.

Also skewed by the amount of people who just run out on the dark beach and barf.

While I agree that demoflush might not be accurate, I can't imagine "eyeballing" the crowds, getting caught in traffic jams and the number of vacancy signs seen are accurate depictions either. There are many, many variables that can attribute to a population count. I'm assuming the only way that a semi-accurate count can be done is by count something that every person (young, old, large, small, etc.) does while on vacation. I guess that is the only thing that we all do!! : )

It was very crowded!  I know traffic on Rt 90 on Saturday was crazy.  What's sad is that by Tuesday there were not many people there at all.  I would have figured it would be a heavy week.

Just looking at the video cams on the Boardwalk and I don't know how one more person could possibly fit!  Packed doesn't even begin to cover how crowded it is!

Labor Day weekend seemed equally packed.  I don't know what the toilet flushing numbers were, but the city was very, very crowded this weekend.  The traffic home to PA on Monday was the worst we have seen in three years.
