We have the new and improved Crab Bag. Just north of that will be Bahama Mama's where Higgens north was. We still have Higgens in Montego Bay. Then we will have Red Roost where Dough Roller North was.

That's what, 4 carb houses (Not including Rippons behind 120th 7-11) in a 10 block stretch? Interesting for the steamed crab market this summer.

Ibo, Where is Dough Roller North? I was just down this past weekend and didn't notice any of them closed.

We have been getting steamed crabs from The Crab Bag for the past several years and we have never been disappointed.

I wish I could eat those. They always look so good, but I can't get past eating something that looks back at me. Plus I never know what to eat and what not to. Guess I'm stuck with the legs.

125th Street. It's still operating as a Dough Roller.

The mark up in crabs is crazy, you can get bushels of #1's right of the docks in Crisfield for $35 during the summer.

Bahama Mama's simply moved, another crab house will be in mid-town. The old Windows on the Bay 61st above the OC Health & Raquetball club will be a crab house and I think one of the partners will be Ernie the owner of Bahama Mama's.

For the past several years we have been getting our steamed crabs from The Crab Bag. It's around 131st St. They are in the process of rebuilding the front portion of the place but you can go in the back. We usually take out our crabs but recently my daughters and I have gone in for their raw oysters and steamed shrimp. Everything is delicious. We've had crabs from a lot of different places and Crab Bag is probably the best we've had. :H

I've been a big an of Crabs from Bahama Mama's and Crabs to Go. Crabs to go is at the intersection of Rt 50 and Rt 589 (Racetrack Road). They tore the place down in November, but the new building is up and open. I got 3 doz. from them on Saturday and they were excellent.
