Thinking about going down to the beach Thanks Giving Week. Is there much too do? I heard Harrisons one of my fav places is open until Thanks Giving. Do any of the rides run? Arcades open? shops open?
Thanks
Phill

My guess would be that most places are going to be closed particularly the rides and arcades. The places on the boardwalk for the most part will be shut down. OC is beautiful in the fall but as for entertainment, you'll need to make or bring your own.

We sometimes go the first week of October and the rides are closed then. Maybe the indoor mini golf will be open in November. Not even sure if there is a movie theater left in OC. Maybe take a ride to Assateague?

The Festival of Lights should be up and running by then. I'm pretty sure it opens in mid November. The lights are at the park off of 123rd Street. You ride the tram car through. If you've never been, you should go. I usually go the first weekend of December, when they have the little Christmas parade, then do the lights. You can always go ice skating at the carousel. Some of the arcades are open on the boardwalk that weekend. Indoor golf is usually open as well. OC is trying to be a year round resort so maybe more things will be open. And yes, you can always go see the ponies!!! Have a good trip.

We were down there about 3 or 4 years ago during Thanksgiving weekend. Had a great time walking the Boardwalk. Not much was opened but I do remember some of the arcades were open Friday and Saturday. Fall is beautiful on the Boardwalk. The people are much more laid back and being able to bring our dog was nice. You can still bike ride and several of the bike rentals places were opened for business. They too were very accomadating and glad to have the business.

On the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 24) from 6-9 pm Downtown Berlin hosts one of the best art events in Maryland. On "Holiday Arts Night" the streets are closed, all the shops have featured artists along with food and drink. There's music in the streets, tree lighting, caroling and lots and lots of fun and great gift buying. It is really a great way to end Black Friday, no matter how cold it may be!
