If you choose to stay at this hotel, please request a premium oceanfront room in the tower building. These rooms have been renovated over the course of the last three years and are well worth the money. I did happen to notice that rooms 311 and 312 in the main building were just redone, but stick with the tower building for now just to be safe. I wish that the hotel would update the indoor pool area. One of the saunas doesn't work and the unisex bathroom has seen its better days! If you have any questions about this hotel, please feel free to ask.

Good Evening,
Hopefully I didn't post an duplicate thread, but I think the last one I saw regarding this hotel was from 2003 so I thought I'd start a new one.
We made last minute reservations last week and here is where we got a room.
There was both good and bad. We arrived in O.C. way before check-in time. The front desk told us that we could use the pool facilities, etc. and to check back at 1:30 for our room. We did go in the pool, went to the Holiday Inn for lunch, and then headed back the the front desk. The room was not ready at that time but was a short time later. Not bad when check-in time isn't until 3 (or 4?).
This room would have been great for a longer than 1 night stay - it was actually an efficiency. But OLD! Room 212 to be exact. The only thing that bothered me was the cost for one night - about $250.00 - holy ****!
I liked that we walked out the back, crossed the boardwalk and had a short walk down to the ocean. Loved that part of it!
Not too bad of a hotel but I think a part of it is newer rooms and I would certainly request those if you are planning on staying here.
