Ocean City

Well, we have our Assateague Reservations for the last week of July for 14 days. Right now, assuming I still have a job and gas doesn't spike to $12.00 a gallon, we plan on going down. I can tell you right now, our OC plans are going to be sparse. We plan to spend most of our vacation hanging out at the camp ground, enjoying the beach and grilling out.

I know that doesn't help the local merchants but money is what it is. Still eagerly looking forward to our summer down there.

Hopefully we can also work out a springtime trip and if we do, we'll spend a little more time at the boardwalk, especially if it is still off-season.

We have our reservations for the 4th of July. We will be staying once again at the Holiday Inn Suites on the boardwalk. - yes. I know I gave them a less then favorable review on here after our last stay, but I'm going to give them a chance to redeem themselves - we'll see...

Looking forward to relaxing poolside & on the beach, enjoying the view from our balcony on warm summer nights, and (as everyone who reads my posts already knows) sampling the local fare.

Not sure about any long stay plans yet but after missing a year am ready to go back. Health is improving so may even try a day trip in the next month or so. At least to Assateague and back for a day. We wil see I'm sure there will be alot of changes since we were there for winterfest of lights 2007.

May 15-17 taking my son to golf and check out the Hot Rod Show; staying at Comfort Suites using my AMA discount.

July 4-11 for our annual week; staying on 2nd street on the bay at Crab Cove.

Well just booked our weekly summer vacation for the last week of August :) Then of course going for Springfest as we do every year and Sunfest. Looking forward to an enjoyable summer!!!!! Was down there in December for the Christmas lights and it was kinda empty. But at least gas prices keep going down!!!

The last few years, I've gone down about 5-6 times for three day periods. But this year, I'm planning on taking a full week in OC for the first time in eight years.

Since a full week will likely be quite pricey, this will mean I'll be going down less often. Might do a trip in late May also.

We will be heading down Aug 15-22 for our week at our timeshare, Boardwalk One, and then again for Winefest in Oct.
I am gonna try to get down in late spring for a weekend but since I am employed in the home building business I can't say for sure that will be in the budget.

But as always counting the days until Aug and my full week in OC :)

We were planning on going in July, but I can't take 4 weekends off from my job, and we have 2 family reunions between the end of July and beginning of August. So, we're thinking either mid June OR mid August. What's it like there at those times? We've been there in Sept, and it wasn't fun. Please let me know! I always come to this forum for updates and suggestions and I trust the opinions of everyone on here! Thank you!

Less people in June, but the ocean is bit colder. Just as busy in Aug, as it is in July, and the ocean is warmer, but when you hit the very end of Aug. you increase the chance of bad weather because that's the start of hurricane season. "Mid" Aug you should be just fine.
