I too love Ocean City. We have been coming here for 25 years. My problem is parking fees. If you rent a condo unit, where do they get off charging a parking fee? If I choose to park on the street do I still have to pay that (non-refundable)parking fee? Aren't the rental rates on condos high enough, now they are charging a PARKING fee??? What's next?

What condo's have you stayed in. I have stayed in Golden Sands, Marigot Beach and English Towers. I have never had to pay an extra parking fee. These buildings are all ocean front.

I own a condo that is rented out through an agency and no parking fee is charged. In fact, this is the first I've heard of such a practice. There is a city ordinance that requires adequate parking per condo unit. What condo and/or rental agency are you dealing with?

Can you give us the name of the agency and the condo name you own so that viewers can look into it for a rental. We have been going through Prudential-Carruthers Real Estate in OC and this year we have rented through MWG only because they had no 2 bdrm available. The agent was very rude. I have stayed at one of the units we are renting thru MWG before but it was with Prudential-Carruthers and we were happy with the unit. I don't know what to expect from MWG but we are hoping that the unit is similar to the others that we have stayed. tx

Sure, we use Coldwell Banker and the unit is in the Anne Elizabeth building on 64th street. It's an oceanblock, first-floor 2BR/2BA unit. CB's website is cbvacations.com and their phone number is 1-800-633-1000.

I believe that only select buildings charge a parking fee. Generally, they are often the highrise buildings that have on-site security. The parking fees are assessed through the building's management and are not determined by your rental agent, they are merely charging the fee to be paid to the building.

We stayed at the High Point South and rented through Holiday Real Estate. After staying there I realize that it was worth the $20. There is round the clock security and they keep a good eye on everything that goes on. Although I have never had any problems with any break-ins, in this day and age you never know and I would rather have someone keeping an eye on things while I am out or sleeping.
