LIQUID ASSETS/AUCE CRABS? DARKSIDE PARTY?
Seacrets "Darkside" party is a celebration of the new moon (or the dark side). They have one for a full moon as well (Lunasea party I believe it is called). They have these year round although, I think in the off-season the parties are moved to the closest weekend day of business if the event falls on a date early in the week.

If you want to eat crabs consider this alternative to AYCE. Go somewhere noted for good crabs and get a dozen of the larger size crabs (I recommend Bahama Mamas, but people say good things about the Cab Bag and a few other places too). Odds are if you and your wife split them you will probably eat just about a dozen (I am a big crab eater an rarely will eat more than 8 good size crabs at one siting). If you want more, order more. It might cost a little bit more than AYCE, but you may end up actually spending less, and you will definitely get better crabs that are bigger and easier to pick.
OCMike describes Darkside and Luna Sea correctly. At Dark Side there are lots of black lights an glow in the dark necklaces or and glow sticks. Was there years ago and it was a good time. If you're looking for a party you can't go wrong with Seacrets.
Good suggestion, OC Guy. Seacrets is really fun...everytime I go, I end up drinking too much and getting lost in the bushes and palm trees. i actually don't get to go much anymore since we have four kids under the age of 10, but I would go again if I ever had the chance. Great atmosphere and strong drinks.
I am coming down to OC with my wife for our 5th anniversary the weekend of Oct 16-18th. I was thinking about going to either Liquid Assets or AUCE crab place on Friday night. Any suggestions? I hear alot of good things about Liquid Assets. We are looking to hit the drunk bus Saturday night and make stops at Seacrets, Fagers Island, etc. I saw Seacrets has their darkside party Saturday night. What exactly is a darkside party? Any other places we should hit Saturday night? Suggestions? Thanks
