I only have a few pics from my phone, can post later.
We are getting the one two punch with the winds, it was strong this am and just grew stronger. I have been in town during many nor'easters and will say this ranks as one of the most intense.......... and it's just lasting.
Observations that left an impression today; (tomorrow suppossed to be similar, more rain to start soon)
1) Driving down coastal ~40mph and seeing the gusts of wind hit the puddles in the road. (not much rain today) Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed I am getting passed by a paper cup blowing down the road!
2) Opening my door, having to hold it to not hit vehicle I parked next to. I couldn't, it was like an arm wrestling contest and the wind won. Luckily I parked far enough not to ding the van I parked next to it. Took ALL my arm strength to close it with one arm, like a giant sail.
3) Walking in a parking lot getting hit with a gust. It was enough to knock my balance to the point I thought I was going to fall over.
4) My house is leaking, as well many customers I visited. I live on the water overooking Fenwick Island (next to Catch54/Sharks Cove) and water comes through the doors, towels soaked. Watching my neighbors house, having the same issue.
As mentioned it's strong, no doubt. Was downtown earlier today and everyone merged into one lane due to flooding (keep in mind it didn't rain much) and later I heard the inlet and all is closed and under water. My brother roomate says we were without power for a few hours, traffic lights out on sections of 54.
I will take my camera tomorrow and capture some carnage. I will dust off my metal detector as it will be 70 and sunny on the beach Sunday. Pirate booty here I come!!!! LOL
Just heard on the Weather Channel Ocean City isn't allowing any one in. I guess downtown is flooded, Route 90 is closed, and only access to the island is 54 in Delaware.

Anyone down there that can give a report or provide pics? I'm interested in how well OC held up with Ida dumping buckets.
