Wawa and 7-Eleven at 120th rule the north end.
HIGH'S AT 131 ST
What was a high's is now going to be a Quick Mart, and where the Popeye's was at 94th Street is now going to be the bank (on the same property) relocated. The old Hardee's on the same lot is going to be a new upscale bar.
People always ask, "What's the worst thing about being a mailman in Ocean City?", I always respond, "Being the only one on the road who knows where they're going".
I have seen the grading of the parking lot, surprised $$$ is being spent on relocation. Granted the bank is in a poor spot and the highway will help but I guess the future of that property looks undeveloped for a little longer. Upscale bar too? Sounds like a little competition with Liguid Assets.
The Quick Mart will have a little food counter which is cool. I know Dough Roller north will be a crab house, Old Mill I believe.
The "One Stop Market" that had taken over the High's on 133rd only lasted a year. I went in once, and there was not much to it. There is now a sign up indicating that a Primo Hoagies is coming soon to that location. They are a Philly/Delaware County establishment (I think) and they make very good hoagies. I think this will be a nice addition to North OC.
Anyone know what happened with the High's on Coastal Highway around 131 next to Brewski Bros? I wouldn't think a convenience store would be as hard hit by the economy. I always found their store to be clean and well stocked.
