I know this topic has come up several times, but who wants to scroll back 10 pages to read?!?!? Just wanting to know where some good places are to go for happy hour just to get a couple of drinks and an appetizer and sit on the bay or ocean? I know about the mags and ads you can pick up, but just wanting some "expert" opinions on them! HAPPY EASTER!

Our favorite places are Harpoon Hanna's Tiki Bar that is right on the bay and then there's Seacrets. We also go to Smitty Mcgee's out on route 54. HH has great crab balls and wonderful Tropical salad. When we go to Seacrets we usually get their crab toast(it's like a crab pizza-delicious) and the jalapeno poppers w/raasbery sauce(soooo good) aqnd at Smitty's you can never go wrong with the wings and killer nachos(ummm).

Funny that I would post exactly what lr4oc posted. Both Harpoon Hanna's and Smitty McGee's would be my choices. Harpoon Hanna's is more laid back and on the water. Smitty's is just plain fun.

Love Harpoon Hanna's. Fish Tales is open now and I think Mackey's is opening soon. I really like Sunset Grill in West OC it's a great view and good food. Castaways is also open now. For a great deal on drinks and happy hour apps...Bull on the Beach 94th st. Not on the water...but really good deals.

Marina Deck is a good place to go. If you sit at the bar, you can get great deals on wings or steamed shrimp.

Mackey's sign said it would be opening later this month (the 20th I think). I love Harpoon Hannas. Not only is it on the water, but it is on the canal that joins the bays of OC with the bays of Fenwick and Bethany, so there is a lot of boat traffic. It is fun to watch the parade of boats drifting by. It does get insanely crowded in the summer, though.

We've been Mackey's and thought it was nice. We went at night and it just didn't seem that busy. Some family had me take a picture of them. Harpoon Hanna's sounds good. Where is that located? I don't know about Seacrets. We wouldn't fit into a place like that and I hear they're pretty weird about who and what kind of people they let in (how they look, dress, etc). Also, isn't that the place that couple picked up that other couple then killed them Memorial Weekend a few years back? Creepy!

Never been a big Seacrets fan. It's actually pretty chill during the day.

From what I saw on the forum last year, they're not particular enough with letting people in. Apparently there were some fights at the beginning of the season last year.

I'm not a Seacrets fan..been once and it wasn't my cup of tea, but I don't think they pick and choose who they let in.

Harpoon Hanna's is on Rt 54 in Fenwick. If you are coming from OC, just at the MD/DE line turn left and go down a few miles and it is on your left. You can't miss it.

I love Harborside. It has GREAT margaritas and orange crushes in addition to inexpensive beers. They also have great deals on shrimp, wings, and steamed clams for happy hour. It's right on the working harbor in West Ocean City and has a very "local" feel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is good and the atmosphere is fun.

I like Fishtales too -- associated with the Bahia Marina. I only like them when the weather is good. They are right on the bay and are kid-friendly early in the evening. They have good tropical drinks and great food.
