My family will be staying at Park Place for 3 nights at the end of June. Do you have any good restaurant with very good MD crab cakes and local seafood. Should we stay away from those all you can eat place? Thanks

Yes, for really GOOD seafood stay away from AYCE. And if you want MARYLAND crabcakes, stay away from Phillips because they import many of their crab products.

At the south end of the island (near where you are), we like Bahama Mamas; further north we find the crab cakes at the CrabCake Factory to be great.

I'm sure a few other folks will post with some of their favorites. There are many places in OC with great seafood. Enjoy your trip.

Crab Cake Factory in OC, Bahama Mama's in OC, Capitan's Galley in West OC, and Cottage Cafe in Bethany, DE are all good choices.

We ate at Bahama Mamas on Dorchester St.. Good Crab Cakes,, mostly lump crabmeat. $12.95 for just the crabcake, but they were tasty. We saw a new place called "On the Bay", it is Ocean Side of Coastal Highway, anyone try it yet?

PGN's has always been my favorite over Higgins, Bahama Mamas, Phillips and Harpoon Hannahs. I've never tried the Crabcake factory though. That's on my agenda for the next time I'm there.

I'm a Crabcake Freak and I live on 120th Street so I gotta give me vote to Crabcake Factorys Lump Crabcakes. I've eaten crabcakes at at least 30 places in and around Ocean City and I still say they are the best.

Captain Galley in West OC uses the exact same recipe except they are 4 Oz instaed of 5 Oz at Crabcake Factory. Crabcake Factory has a whole new menu and put in a pick up window on the beach side which is really nice.

We stay at the Marigot so Crabcake Factory is always on our list. Their cakes are the best. Worth taking home, you can bring in a cooler and they will pack in dry ice. It is also a great place to go for breakfast and lunch. Definitely worth the trip even if you are further south in OC.
