I been checking out the boardwalk cams,and I see A fire in between the Atlantic Hotel and Trimpers Rides,anybody know whats burning? Theres lots of smoke there,hope it turns out ok.

Just had an inside source saying PLAYLAND HAS BURNED TO THE GROUND! Not sure if this is true, though.

UPDATE: I just spoke to Trimper's main office -- Playland has been saved. There is some water damage, but the main arcade is saved. The Dough Roller, however, is destroyed.:eek:

It's a shame what happened to the Dough Roller, but I am glad that Playland was saved.

...that condo's will replaced the burned buildings.

While this building can't be classified as "historic" I certainly remember it being there forever.

Fire and selling out---the everchanging face of Ocean City.

Great photo's. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

What was the name of that restaurant before it became named the Doughroller? When I was younger (70's and 80's), we used to go there when we first got to the beach. They had the same menu, but the restaurant had a different name. It's been driving me crazy.
