me16652 - I laughed when I originally read your post (not at you), but because the Fenwick Inn is at the opposite end of OC from where the boardwalk is. The Fenwick Inn is located at 138th Street. The boardwalk runs from the Inlet to 27th Street. It would be a good drive to the boardwalk from the hotel, I would guess about 15-20 minutes in good traffic. I don't know anything particular about the hotel, but from the website it appears to be decent and well priced.

Thanks for letting me know that. I will have to cancel that reservation and find something a little more "walking distance" to the boardwalk.

Definitely no where near the boardwalk. I normally stay there in October only because I can take my dog with me. It's reasonably priced in my opinion though.

If your looking for something in the heart of the boardwalk, try the Tidelands. My wife and I stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it. It's on the boardwalk at 5th street. Nice rooms with balcony, pool and parking.

You might also want to consider the Holiday Inn on the boardwalk at 17th st. It's a newer building, indoor & outdoor pools, and it's located just far enough from the carnival end of the boardwalk that you can still walk to all the excitement, but be able to sleep at night too!
