EDEN ROC
I stayed there once about seven years ago. It has pretty much what you'd expect from an OC motel - AC, cable, pool, etc. They also have effeciency suites.
I also love the location. At 20th St, you're within walking distance of many places, including the Boardwalk, Phillips Crab House, Jolly Rogers, and Old Pro Golf.
I have stayed at the Eden Roc and I personally would never stay there again. The rooms were small and smelled like mildew. The staff was not very friendly and seemed inconvienced if you asked them for directions and/or advice on resturants.
And for the price, you could stay elsewhere with a view. The Sahara was decent, not spectacular by any means, but you do get an oceanfront room for the price. I thought the Eden Roc was over priced considering the deal at the Sahara.

Also in this price range, is the Howard Johnson Inn on 28th street. I got a great deal through them this year using my military discount. I know they also accept AAA and some other travelers clubs.
