Friday - Breakfast at Denny's. Service was good, meal was so-so. Dinner at PGN. I am not sure why this place gets such good reviews. The crabs were ok-but alot of them empty or mushy. The service was awful slow. But for the price it wasn't bad. We went to the Crab Bag last year and liked it much better. Saturday-Lunch at Tommy's Sub Shop. Cheesesteaks and fries were good. The bread was awesome, but the steak is just like a steak-um. Fries were excellent. Dinner at SeaCrets. We had the crab pizza (YUM) and the jerk chicken quesadilla which was fantastic! Sunday-Dinner at Embers. Terrible is all I can say. This was the 2nd time here and we won't be back. Mushy crab legs and everything else seemed old. We went early in the day to avoid the crowd and were very disappointed. Later in the evening we went to Fish Tales for something light. We had the chips and salsa. Chips were good, the salsa was ok but not juicy enough for me. Not bad, but not great. Drinks were good here. Monday we had a light lunch at Coins which was very good. Hubby had the steamed shrimp and I had the hot wings. Amazing bread! Would like to go back here for a full meal. Monday night we went to Harrison's Harborwatch. Service was good and the meal was great. We shared the crab dip which I loved. For meals, I had the crab cakes and hubby had a seafood pasta with alfredo. The sauce was somewhat runny (watery) but not unediable. In betweens were the usual suspects and favorites: Fisher's popcorn (always delish, but I asked for peanuts and didn't get any) Dumser's icecream, Fractured Prune donuts (ok -but I thought were kinda greasy), Candy Kitchen fudge and we tried the Marble stone creamery (which was very good).

Excuse my ignorance, but what does PGN stand for?

Thanks John, but that still doesn't explain what the initials PGN are for:confused:

Actually, in 1969 the place was started by Nick, George Bill and Leo Kaouris (indeed a Greek family) and is now run by Bill and his wife, Elizabeth and their nephew, Dimitri is the spokesman.

Big tourist trap as are most OC crab houses. Re-steamed, barely legal sized.

If you do get crabs in OC try the Crab Bag, Rippons, Bahama Mamas, or Capt. Jacobs on Rt. 54 outside of Fenwick.

I agree...the Crab Bag was excellent last year. I was sorry we didn't go there again
