It's been many years since we have made the journey to OC. We used to go to BJ's on the Bay, which I could have sworn it was down by the Inlet (Talbot area). This is where my family like to have lunch prior to checking into the Motel. I have search high an low but can only find BJ's on the Water. Am I just going crazy thinking that there where two locations, or has the one just closed down. I see the menu is the same at the Water (which is good), just further away from our Motel. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

PS - Just hope Fay stays South from another week, or at least to the West. OC here we come...

You are thinking of BJs South. It was just north of the Route 50 ridge, but it closed 3 or 4 summers ago.

BJ's on the Bay is great. They still have those wonderful seafood skins, and those yummy steak sandwiches. Plus you can watch them feed all the ducks and geese off of the deck in the back. BJ's is a must stop for us.

BJ's South was charming in its own ways as well. As i recall it quite literally was on the water with a good piece of the restaurant sitting on decking overtop the water.

I also recall an after dinner cruise on a Pontoon boat from there with a fun, slightly crazy captain driving the boat. (Captain Bob, I think?) I think BJ's South closed during the off season after that boad ride so we never got to do it again.

Also while driving around Chincoteague this year I saw a place called AJ's and the logo was a definite variation of the BJ's logo, not sure if they are related or not. Meant to ask at BJ's when we went but ... didn't remember.
