Best Memories: Watching my 4 year old playing in water and on the beach. First brought her at six months and are in town several times a year she has always loved it. Also just relaxing without any formal plan to accomplish anything.
Worst Memory: Drunk guy puking on boardwalk. Fortunatly, I have been going to OC for 25 years since I was young kid and only time I have seen this, thankfullly.
Ok, here's the story.
It was a Tuesday or Wednesday morning, so it was mid-week. I was heading across the bridge to Food Lion to get some groceries. I hit the last red light on the OC side of the bridge, so I was first out of the chute when it turned green. I was going about 50 mph across the bridge and continued to just motor along. Right before I got to the light to turn left to go to Food Lion, I took a peek in my rearview and the cop was right behind me with the lights on. So god knows how far he was following me.
I continued to turn left and he directed me into the Sunsations parking lot. I noticed that I didn't have my seatbelt on and luckily got it on before he got to my car. He asked for my license and registration and went straight back to his car. As he's verifying my info. I was trying to find out what I could tell him so he wouldn't give me a ticket.
He got back to my car and before I could open my mouth he said something like, "It's very easy to cause accidents on that bridge when you speed, especially during weekends when there is more traffic. You were going 50 mph on the bridge, which is 35 mph."
I responded, "Can you see your way to giving me just a warning this time?"
To which he responded, "I already did." He then handed me a written warning that he already completed and left. He got right into his car and off he went. It was pretty unbelievable.
My Best memory was easy we only made it down once this year in febuary It was my first time near a beach or OC in a year and a half. After being stuck in a bed or wheelchair all that time just smelling the air and being in OC felt great didn't care if it was cold was just happy to be on the boards.
Best: Spending vacation with my children, created memories of great times. Our day at Trimpers. The smell of the ocean. The sights, sounds and happenings of the Boardwalk.
Worse: Uninvited in laws horning in on our vacation time, then griping about everything. The weather didn't cooperate too well. The rude and ignorant tourists who are becoming more prevalent in OC.

Since the Forum is slowing down a bit this offseason, I thought I would throw out a topic. What is your best memory of this past summer, and what is your worst? Could be an event, a meal, a sunset, or a trip to one of OC's many attractions.
My favorite memory was my birthday. My wife surprised me and rented a pontoon boat, and we took the four kids out on the bay for two hours. It was really fun, and for land-lovers, it was great to see the city from a different perspective. My worst memory was the 6 hour trip home on Labor Day! Our normal drive time is 2 and a half to three hours, but I think it took us two hours just to get to Milford...
