Best Burgers in OC

Since my post about BK on the Boards evolves into a discussion on burger places, I thought I'd pose the question - Who do you think has the best burgers in OC.

Personally, my vote goes to Big Pecker's on 73rd St. OC Frogs at the Inlet is a close second.

I'm sorry to boast, but the best burgers in OC are on site 94 at Assateague. We're grilling there last week of July, all welcome. And no, we're not cooking one of the ponies.

Seriously though, I'm not sure I've ever had burgers on the boardwalk, we have eaten at the Wendy's in West OC and I wouldn't put that in the top 100.

I'm looking forward to what others have found, I'm always open to a good Hamburger.

Kirby's Pub on 94th or Dr. Unks in West OC. Dr. Unks was one of the best I've had in OC last time down.. They have a half-price burger night either Mondays or Tuesdays, I think.

Absolutely Big Peckers. I have also had an OK burger at Duffy's Tavern and a fairly decent burger at the Brass Balls.

The best burgers used to be Whiskers in OC before they changed hands about 4 years ago.
Now I would say,in no particular order,Kirby's, Island Cafe (also a killer cheese steak),Buxey's, Smitty McGees and Big Peckers are the best.
Fair to poor,Duffy's,
Worst burger in OC ,Green Turtle.

Had two burgers from Coins this year.....both were hand formed and cooked to medium (I like medium) I believe Greene Turtle relies on the Bubba genre.....hello LDL!!!

Kirby's has good food, haven't had the burger though as I typically get steak quesidillas

I like the burgers at Billy's, Whiskers has a good burger too.

Funny you say that, Pappo will turn the Blue Ox into a hamburger place (w/ video games) this summer. Like a Chucky Cheese I guess to capitalize on the kids going to Northside park.

Ibo, Blue Ox into a hamburger joint. Is this for real or just rumor. I thought the Ox had a pretty good following and very good food.
