Does anyone know what the differences are between Bay Club East and Bay Club West? Neither one is more convenient to where I'm staying than the other, so I'd like to know which would be more fun for a complete beginner.

Have you checked out their Website?

http://www.thebayclub.com/

I am no longer a golfer so I can't offer any personal views.
:)

Thanks for the info. :)

Just curious, why did you stop golfing?

Since I moved to Maryland (a long while back) a few other things seem to have gotten in the way of golfing...marriage...raising a family...sailboat racing and cruising on the Chesapeake...learning how to [snow] ski...and THEN we bought a condo in Ocean City so we could be here more that just a couple of times per year.

OK, OK - I know OC is a great place to golf - but for some reason I just haven't gotten back to it.

Now, here's the ironic part: As a part of my network of Websites I sell golf travel packages. I used to be an affiliate of Pam's Golf in OC, but now use a better fulfillment company (for nationwide golf travel) out of Owings Mills, MD. We sell hundreds of golf trips each year, and I have been invited to play for free in many places, but for some reason just have not. I have played only about 15 rounds in the last 30 or so years since I moved here.

AND - this year I plan to launch another site for the area about Ocean City Golf Courses, appropriately located at http://www.OceanCityGolfCourses.com (What you see there now will soon be replaced with a better site - that is a just a redirect to a set of someone else's pages.)
:D

The east course is the newer of the 2. It's a links style course and can be a bit challenging due to the natural surroundings and the unusual grasses. The west course is a more traditional park style course...beautiful layout...and a true island green called devil's island. Over all a great place to get in 18 or 36 holes! For a beginner I would stick with the West course :-)
