I was wondering what people considered their top 3 places to eat seafood at the beach? It doesn't necessarily have to be for just the food- consider atmosphere, etc... Basically if you had 3 nights to eat at 3 different places, and it has to have a selection of seafood dishes- where would you eat? (1 buffet max).

Thanks for your input...

BTW- The 3 places I would eat are probably:

-Harrison's Harbor Watch- Great location, views.
-Bonfire Buffet
-Hobbit was always nice (but I'm not sure what state of rebuilding that may be in right now)-

- and this isn't what i am looking for- but I'd eat lunch at the Crabcake Factory for great lump crab, and probably Seacrets' beach for daytime atmosphere- and I always like their Mahi sandwiches.

We aren't big seafood eaters, but we ALWAYS go to the Bonfire for buffet (I eat the crab legs and hubby eats the prime rib...........go figure). And we almost always have steaks at Croc's. Other than that, we're free spirits. No fancy expensive places for us. I could probably name more places I don't like. The other night I had a dream that I was on the boards eating a big tub of Fisher's popcorn and a Dumser's chocolate shake. LOL

1) Fager's Island has great gourmet type seafood
2) BJ's on the Water has awesome bar/casual type seafood
3) Hooper's Crab House is really good for all you can eat crab, corn, shrimp, and BBQ ribs for a more economical price

I like Jordan's Rooftop - 8th floor at the Fenwick Inn in North Ocean City. Great steaks and fine seafood. My wife nearly always gets the stuffed flounder - and always has enough for lunch the next day. The stuffed mushroom caps are a great appetizer - containing almost enough crab meat for a meal.

Tonight I had a great piece of Atlantic salmon at Croc's. The Realtor was dining with had the filet mignon - both dinners were great. The bill was only $59 with an appetizer and a couple pours of Guinness. Good food--good deal.

So, there are a couple of our favorite places. We DO NOT, however, go to Phillips buffet and tend to shy away from the BonFire - plenty of food but much of it sits too long and gathers that "steam table" consistency. For a great buffet, try Horizon's at the Clarion Hotel. I think they'll have it back online for President's Day weekend and thereafter.

Bon Appetite...
:)

My top 3 seafood restaurant picks:

1. Captain's Galley II
2. The Captain's Table (if it ever reopens!)
3. Nick's House of Ribs (seafood selection is limited, but crab cakes are very good)

I do not like buffets, typically I find the food quality to be mediocre at best, I would rather have an entree (which is plenty to eat) that is of good quality. However, each summer trip to OC, we do go out one night for AYCE crabs. I think that Hooper's Crab House is decent for this as well. The food is good and the price is decent. Also, if you buy the plastic stadium cup, you get free refills each time you bring the cup back (all you need to do is remember to pack your cup each year, which we usually forget, so we have many of these cups around - I guess I should just leave them in my luggage.)

2) Ristorante Antipasti ---- a little on the expensive side , but delicious seafood & pasta.
3) crabcake factory --- the orange crush is great too.

The best seafood in town is at Crabmans on 127th street.
They cook everything fresh no reheats.

Hi Wolf, I'm with ya on the Hobbit, and I've never been shy about my love of The Captains Table, but since niether are open at this point, my choices would be in this order...

1) Ristorante Antipasti
2) Crab Alley
3) Tequilla Mocking Bird (ok...not really a seafood place, but I love that seafood buritto!!!)

1)Grove Market: No one else compares. Try the Boullabaise or Horseradish Encrusted Rock Fish. They always feature two smoked selection from the smokhouse out back.

2) Crabcake Factory USA: Their lump crabcakes are unbeatable. I don't care where you went before. Peeled Shrimp, Alaskan King crabs and great soups.
Lump Crab Nachos and Lump Crab Benedict for breakfast are both killer.

3) Marlin Moon Grille / Galaxy 66: Both a little pricey but both do a good job with their catch of the day.

Some of you guys really need to get out more:)
