Like a child sneaking candies and realizing his parents knowingly allowed his imminent stomach ache, so to have I nervously and awkward crept through the last few days. It's as if I half expect the good times and cheap living to abruptly cease.
Tuesday began with lunch and drinks at Fish Tails on 19th street bayside in Ocean City and then in to work at the Pirates Den (32nd and Baltimore), bar-tending their free surf film screening night. Less than ten bucks for food and drink at lunch and then again at night is hard to beat, considering it was from waterfront bay view to outdoor free surf film screening on a 17' projection screen. Today I worked again, but splurged for Fat Daddy's delivery. The "Funky Gump" was a monstrous turkey, bacon, avocado, and cheese concoction and once again for less than ten dollars including delivery.
I'm not simply rubbing in how well I have eaten or cheaply I have enjoyed my last few days in Ocean City. My point, and I am getting to it eventually, is to demonstrate. It's to show that living well (with occasional excellence) is availably, and rather cheaply, in Ocean City.
