City seeks Christmas Parade marchers
With just a little more than a month left before Ocean City’s 33rd annual Christmas Parade, the city announced that there still is plenty of space left for people who may have been on the fence about participating.
The annual event draws people from all over the region and kicks off the Christmas season in the resort.
Last year there were more than 80 displays featuring an estimated 1,000 people. The event usually draws approximately 3,000 spectators to the resort. The parade is set to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at Old Landing Road and proceed north to 120th Street. The judging stand will be at the Ocean City Mall, according to parade officials.
Following the parade there will be an awards ceremony and a festival including family-friendly activities at the Carousel Hotel on 118th Street. Click here to download information or to register your business, nonprofit, or social group for a parade slot.
