Pickleball Ocean Pines… is offering a Pickleball Clinic on Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m.; beginning Sept. 3 for four weeks. This clinic is a family-friendly course for beginners. All equipment is provided at no additional charge. The clinic will be held at the Racquet Complex in Ocean Pines. This increasingly popular sport is a cross between ping pong, badminton and tennis. Adult basketball… The Men’s Fall Basketball League returns to the Worcester County Recreation Center in Snow Hill. Teams are invited to compete in the competitive, fast-paced league, which is open to participants ages 18 and older. League games will be played Thursdays, Sept. 4 – Nov. 20, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the WCRC. Scores and standing will be kept, and the league will culminate with a playoff tournament that will determine the league champion. Field hockey camp Worcester County Recreation & Parks is wrapping up the 2014 summer sports camps season with field hockey. This week-long camp is open to youth entering first through eighth grades. Field Hockey Camp will take place at the Worcester County Recreation Center… in Snow Hill, beginning Monday, Aug. 18, and will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $70 per camper. Participants will be introduced to field hockey and will learn the fundamental skills of the sport in this basic skills camp. Modified games will be played during the week. Space is limited. Crabbing The Atlantic Coast Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association will be presenting a free seminar to children, ages 6-16, on crabbing. The class will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3 from 1:30-3 p.m. at Ake’s Marine on Sunset Ave in West Ocean City. Snacks and beverage will be provided to children. A parent or guardian must be present. The class will cover various methods and tools needed to teach children how and where one can crab.
