This past week Oceancity.com released its “Best of” Readers Poll. The winners were decided by voters from the Oceancity.com web site and Facebook pages. Needless to say, some of the results were obvious while others were very surprising and some even amusing and shocking. Being a resident of the area for some time now and also the food writer for Oceancity.com I decided to weigh-in with my two cents worth on this poll. (Jan. 11, 2013) With new management in place, the Ocean City Square, located between 118th and 120th streets bayside, is currently undergoing renovations to give the shopping center a major facelift.
“It will have a more clean, modern updated look,” said on-site property manager Randall Coburn.
Ocean City Square, constructed in 1983, was built to serve residents who live in the northern end of the resort as well as visitors, and it continues to do so, according to Coburn.
“It’s one of the oldest and largest shopping centers on the island and we’re not going anywhere,” Coburn said.…
